Question 1

What is Makank?

Accepted Answer

Makank is an Egyptian marketplace for booking workspaces by the hour. You can reserve a coworking desk, a private office, a meeting room, an art or photography studio, or an individual table in a café across Cairo, Giza and Alexandria.

Question 2

How do I book a workspace in Cairo by the hour?

Accepted Answer

Search Makank by city and space type, open a listing, pick a specific table or room and a time slot, then send a booking request. The space owner confirms it, usually over WhatsApp, and you receive the address and directions.

Question 3

Can I book a single table rather than a whole room?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Makank lists individual tables, not just desks and meeting rooms, which is how café workspaces in Egypt actually sell their space. Each table shows its seat count and hourly price.

Question 4

How do I pay for a booking on Makank?

Accepted Answer

There is no online payment for a customer booking. After the space confirms your request, pay the venue directly using the method it accepts: InstaPay, Vodafone Cash, or cash on arrival. Prices are shown in Egyptian pounds (EGP).

Question 5

Does Makank work in Arabic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The whole site is available in Arabic with full right-to-left layout, and in English. You can switch languages from the navigation bar at any time.

Question 6

How can I list my workspace or café on Makank?

Accepted Answer

Register as a space owner, add your space details, photos and amenities, then define the tables or rooms you want to rent with their hourly, half-day and full-day prices. Bookings arrive in an owner dashboard for you to accept or decline.
